The Tories have wrecked our Welfare State leaving those on no or low incomes to manage on a mean and punitive Universal Credit system and a range of severely diminished legacy benefits. Many families have to depend on the charity of food banks to survive. What is the way forward for the Left? Should we change tack and join the campaign for Universal Basic Income? Or should we demand the restoration of a proper Social Security system that properly supports us in time of need? Or are there other options?

The meeting is open to all delegates of course but anyone who is a trade union member is welcome to join as as a visitor but may not vote on any item.
