GMB members in Sheffield City Councils Housing department will be on strike on January 6th and will be holding a lunch time protest outside the Town Hall in Sheffield on the 6th from 12.30pm. Speakers will talk about their experiences and the consiquences of the introduction of housing plus, a restructured housing service that the Council are imposing without trade union agreement in Sheffield. As front line staff face loosing thousands in pay, their area managers, who are forcing through the changes, will see their pay packets boosted by thousands of pounds. Same old story.
