Tuesday 18th September “Nae Pasaran!” film at The Showroom 1830hrs start
Chile Coup 45th anniversary event In 1974, factory workers in Scotland refused to repair jet engines from the Chilean Air Force in protest against Pinochet’s brutal dictatorship. The workers never found out the scale of their impact. Until now. Q&A after the film.

Saturday 22nd September Sheffield Needs A Pay Rise Campaign Day
10am – 2pm at Sheffield Trades and Labour Club A Vision Sheffield festival event
Come along and get involved with our day of speakers and workshops about Sheffield Needs Daragh O’Neill says “A Pay Rise and new unionism in Britain. We’re making plans about how to tackle low pay and precarious work. We don’t have to put up with low pay, insecure hours, bullying bosses or dead end jobs. Workers are worth more and together we can win the changes we need. We’ve got local activists speaking, organisers from trade unions at the forefront of winning in Britain today including the BFAWU who are organising the McStrikes. We’ll have speakers on our research project on low pay and precarious work in Sheffield. We’ll be talking about our plans for training local activists up and how we can improve our communications to reach out to workers who want to win a better deal. So come along and find out what Sheffield Needs A Pay Rise is all about”
