Monday 25th October Justice for Simba – No Borders in the NHS!
4pm Protest outside Royal Hallamshire Hospital
Borders exist within this country as Simba Mujakachi found out when he was charged £93,000 to access life-saving NHS treatment. Watch Simba’s interview with ITV News here.
SYMAAG joined the Justice For Simba campaign, Sheffield Medact, Patients Not Passports and many others for the big and noisy Carnival of Resistance to the Hostile Environment in Sheffield in September. But Simba’s charges and barriers to NHS healthcare still exist. That’s why we are supporting the No Borders in the NHS Week of Action 23-27th October.

Friday 5th November Better Buses South Yorkshire campaign meeting
The next Better Buses SY meeting will be on Friday 5th November at 11am on Zoom. We are campaigning to bring back our bus services under public control – and eventually under municipal ownership where it belongs. On 21st October we held an online meeting with council leaders to press our demands. We have had stickers and leaflets posted across the city and we are collecting your awful stories of terrible bus journeys so we can help make our case that the current privatised deregulated system is not working and must be changed. If you are not on the mailing list and would like to receive the zoom link for this meeting, please email Fran Postlethwaite on betterbusesforsy@gmail.com
