Tuesday 25th April Sheffield TUC Delegate Meeting

Guest Speaker: Jenny patient Sheffield Climate Alliance “Trade Unions for Energy Democracy” Trade unions are in the front line of the transition away from carbon energy – hear about TUED’s work and plans coming from their recent conference in the UK.

Tuesday 25th April “How Terror created Israel

7pm Quaker meeting House. Thomas Suarez comes to Sheffield to talk about his book, published last year, which reveals the Zionist willingness to use violence against their Jewish opponents. Organised by Palestine Solidarity Campaign

Friday 28th April   International Workers Memorial Day

1230hrs outside Sheffield Town Hall, Pinstone Street, Sheffield. Wreath laying ceremony and speeches on workplace health and safety issues. “Remember the dead, fight for the living”. Opened by Lord Mayor of Sheffield Cllr.Denise Fox. Speakers include Paul Blomfield MP. Union branches are encouraged to bring wreaths to lay at the Memorial Tree

Friday 28th April “Celebrating the Overthrow of the Junta!” 50 Years since Greek Military Coup! 6pm-8.30pm UNITE the Union, 128 Theobalds Road, London WC1X 8TN. Organised by Greece Solidarity Campaign and Anti-Fascist Action for Greece. Flyer attached.

 Saturday 29th April Huddersfield March for the NHS Assemble 1030hrs St.George’s Square, Huddersfield. No cuts – No closures – No privatisation! Save Huddersfield A&E!  For a fully funded, publicly owned NHS and social care service! End the pay restraint for NHS staff. Organised by Huddersfield TUC
