How does it work?
After submitting the form, you will receive a call within 72 hours. We will put you in touch with an experienced organiser. They will listen to you and assist you in forming a plan on how to build change in your workplace.
What is Organise Now!
Organise Now! is a collective of experienced workers from across the Trade Union and social justice movements who are available now to help you and your co-workers organise to defend and improve your working lives and build power.
You can read more about Organise Now! in the press here.
What is Sheffield Needs A Pay Rise (SNAP)?
Sheffield Needs A Pay rise is a campaign against low pay, zero-hour contracts, and bad working conditions that was founded in 2016. We were inspired by what workers were accomplishing in other towns and cities, proving that workers can build unions and power in any kind of workplace, from care homes to fast food to warehouses.
Between 2019 and 2023, workers involved in SNAP scored some amazing wins – from reclaiming stolen wages to better pay, and much else besides. From 2025 SNAP is working with Organise Now!
Who is involved?
SNAP was established by Sheffield Trades Union Council, the local branch of the TUC, which represents many of the country’s different unions. Organise Now! is supported by BFAWU, Strike Map, Notes from Below, and ASLEF. Neither SNAP nor Organise Now! are linked to any political party or one single union or worker organisation. If we recommend joining a union as part of the advice we offer, we will discuss what unions exist in your sector, so you can make an informed choice.
How can I get involved?
We are looking for experienced union activists to offer support and advice to workers who are looking to organise, as well as people to get involved in outreach activities. If you’re interested, please contact us using the following form: https://www.organisenow.org.uk/volunteer-help/
Both Organise Now! and SNAP can offer lots of resources and training for people who want to help out.
