Tuesday 25th July Sheffield TUC Delegate Meeting

Guest speaker: Jane Finney Mosborough Against Fracking and Tom Bishell PCS DWP on Eastern Avenue Job Centre dispute. 7pm Trades and labour Club, 200 Duke Street S2 5QQ (Please use side entrance on Talbot Street and use stairs to concert room). Visitors welcome. Please register on the door.

 

Tuesday 25th July “DISPOSSESSION – The Great Social Housing Swindle”

6pm The Showroom Cinema, Paternoster Row. Feature documentary directed by Paul Sng and narrated by Maxine Peake, exploring the catastrophic failures that have led to a chronic shortage of social housing in Britain. After the screening there will be a Q&A with Paul Sng (Director), Dr Lisa McKenzie (author of Getting By) and more. 

 

 

 

Thursday 3rd August MHAGS Event Day

Mental Health Action Group Sheffield (MHAGS) is holding a campaign day at Sheffield Works dept., Sports and Social Club, Heeley bank Road, S2 3GL. Campaign stalls etc.

 

Sunday 13th August South Yorkshire Festival, Wortley Hall

Trade Union and Labour Movement festival for all the family in Wortley Hall grounds.

Among events there is the traditional public meeting on a burning topic of the day:

Sunday 1st October Tories Out demo, outside Tory Party Conference,

Coaches from Sheffield to Manchester, organised by Sheffield Peoples Assembly and supported by Sheffield Trade Union Council. Details coming soon.

 

Saturday 21st October Stand Up to Racism National Conference, London

Coach travel will be arranged from Sheffield supported by Sheffield Trade Union Council.

 

Wednesday 1st November “Rise Like Lions” Banner Theatre

Political theatre production with music. Sponsored by Sheffield TUC. 7pm Sheffield Trades and Labour Club, 200 Duke Street Sheffield S2 5QQ
